Video textHello and thank you for visiting The Hazard Perception Challenge. This course has been developed by professional trainers for all drivers and motorcyclists. The course is specifically aimed at helping you to enhance your scanning skills. When you get started you will see a series of short video clips, showing real life driving and riding situations and lots of examples of hazards. Watch the clips and imagine that you are the driver or the rider. An example of an actual hazard would be a person running onto a crossing as you arrive, or something emerging from a junction as you approach. During the course you will need to click the mouse as you see each potential hazard. You need to continue clicking if the potential hazard develops into actual danger. There is no need to click for signs, drain covers, nor every junction and driveway, but do practice scanning for these features. Finally, the course is designed for you to review your progress and to continue practicing. It's always worth re-running the clips to have another go, and to see what else you could have identified. Good luck. |
